One of the most popular colors for both the kitchen and bathroom is gray. What does gray say about you?

In the kitchen, gray is a neutral that makes a wonderful background color for bright fixtures and/or appliances. Red blenders pop against gray backgrounds. Being recognized as a color of compromise, gray makes a wonderful palette color-shy homeowners who are afraid to commit to one bold color scheme in the kitchen.

Dark gray paint is trendy for modern spaces. Dark gray adds a dignified, intellectual look to your kitchen. According to SensationalColor the human eye can actually see 500 shades of gray. Layering dark gray paint, light gray chandelier shades and gray marble countertops you create a deeper look to your kitchen.

In the bathroom, sleek and refined gray fixtures or gray glass tiles will lend themselves to a clean, crisp look. For a uniform look, metal fixtures such as chrome or nickel blend well when surrounded by gray decor. When soaking in your tub,  gray surroundings will help you relax and melt away stress. Gray creates a certain depth while maintaining a neutral palette.
