Are you getting your kitchen ready for a big dinner during the holidays? There are a number of helpful things you can do in advance to make everything go smoothly. Here are a few suggestions from Houzz:

  • Cleaning Suggestions – Do a deep clean of the refrigerator, oven and microwave, with a quick clean right before the event. Clean all of the clutter out of the kitchen and areas where guests will be during the event. As soon as these things are done, you will start to feel more prepared for the event.
  • Stock Your Pantry - Make a list of staple items, including spices, cooking wine, etc. and keep at least two of each item. When you use one, replace it next time you shop.
  • Check Your Tableware - Make an inventory, and be sure you have plenty of matching dinnerware and tableware. Polish silver pieces, and wash and iron cloth napkins and table cloths.

These preparations will surely make for a stress-free and delightful holiday!
