Which Bathroom Features Should You Splurge On?
We could go on for days about what new and emerging trends are developing in the world of bathroom design. We’ve definitely proven over the past few weeks that bathroom remodeling is all the rage right now and there are tons of ideas, features and elements out there to completely transform that vital space.
One interesting aspect that we haven’t touched on yet is which bathroom features deserve a hefty investment, especially during tough times when consumers are keeping close tabs on their spending. But if you want a bath space that’s going to perform to your expectations and provide a worthy return on investment, some elements will require you to splurge. Which ones? Two designers told Kitchen & Bath Business which bathroom features they believe are the most important to spend on for your future bathroom.
Beverly Hills-based designer Christopher Grubb says,
“Plumbing fixtures are the ‘jewelry’ in the room. With the abundance of fixtures on the market, it’s easy to find something exciting and dynamic. Avoid fixtures that are pedestrian. You’re going to look at it every day so it should be beautiful.
Ft. Lauderdale-based designer Bill Feinberg says,
Today’s “smart toilets” are out of this world! If it’s within your budget, this is something to consider splurge-worthy. Features may include a programmable nightlight, remote control, automatic open/close lid, various modes of cleansing, hands-free automatic flush, an air dryer, an air purifying system and even more.
